I lead the design on this project, working with a Product Manager and Front End developers. This project included the main collection dashboard overview page and 6 related pages. The challenge here was to create a cohesive NFT collection dashboard for CryptoSlam, incorporating all available data points in a user-friendly, accessible, and responsive manner, by establishing an information hierarchy and designing it native to the product.
For a full breakdown of my process and the research I did, my full case study goes a bit deeper!
Creating a unified design system not only sped up the design process but also helped to build bridges amongst teams. Working closely with the FE team while creating the design system proved to be very helpful during handoff and development stages.
With the redesign, users were able to quickly find the information they wanted, gained confidence in the site, and were able to better understand the data once it was reorganized.
In user testing, this prototype was preferred by all users to the current experience.
This design is based on my findings from qualitative and quantitative research with NFT traders, degens, and collectors, and reflects how I incorporated those findings into a working prototype.
Due to stakeholder priorities and developer workloads, I scaled back this prototype and provided an minimum viable product after presenting this final design. The successful launch of the MVP has increased total time spent on the platform by 50%.
If I had more time, resources, and support to work on this project, I would perform additional user research, usability testing, and iterate on the design and functionality.
